Chris Barrett Textiles is a vibrant collection of fabrics, hand designed with signature abstract patterns. Originally inspired by the landscape of the California coast, the line has grown to encompass interpretations of the line’s eponymous creator’s travels throughout the world.

As with most new products, these textiles were born out of need. I wanted to see something new in outdoor fabrics, designs inspired by nature, but not so literal, using colors that excite me
— Chris Barrett

Last year we presented a collection that has a surprisingly soft and delicate feel while still retaining all of the wonderful benefits that come with the content of exterior textiles, durability, fade resistance and superb clean-ability. All three new patterns are available in a range of fresh, compelling colors, ideal for both indoor AND outdoor use.

This year we are introducing a collection of hand designed linen fabrics. This collection of beautifully interpreted flora and fauna was inspired by her travels to Great Britain. The linen itself is from Northern Ireland and is printed in Southern California. The colors reflect the work of Chris and her aesthetic. The collection seamlessly unites the modern and the traditional interior.

In her quest to set the standard for living by style and grace, this is just the beginning.

I develop my textile line in the same way that I develop my design projects — I bring my California point of view and eye to create a fresh, inviting and approachable look. Though I don’t do this alone — I have a very talented team!
